This is my Win2000 Server, Road Runner Cable modem, NetGear 100 mbps 8 port hub and APC SmartUPS 1000. This is the most vital part and heart of my network. It's my shared high speed Internet connection, file server, mp3 server, apps server, print server and battery backup.

Here is a view of my work stations, 5 computers running side by side. I run a Linspire / Win2k duel boot on my primary workstation. I don't us Windows XP because of the licensing hassles and the only reason I use Win2k is for a couple of games that don't run on Linux. As of late, Viruses, Spy Ware and Windows hacks have gotten so out of control, I found myself spending more time cleaning them rather than using my computer. Linspire is the way to go for a Desktop computer.

I have built a cool home made security system. Using 4 different Web Cams, I have placed them in strategic positions and they take snap shot pictures which are then uploaded to my remote Web Server.

This is a picture of my own little computer project. I call it the Computer On The Wall, a Working Piece of Art. Essentially, it's a sheet of plexi glass mounted on some 2X4's with fluorescent light in the back. On the glass, I have mounted the guts of a computer, motherboard, CD-ROM drive, Floppy Drive, Hard Drive, Power Supply and Surge Protector.


I don't have this computer anymore, these shots were taken a long time ago. But it's still fun to see what a geek I am. hehe
