Summer Harvest - 2012
Summer Harvest 2012

Hello! I'm 45 and I live in the mile high city, Denver, CO. I moved back to Colorado in May 2006. It was a hard move back here from San Diego as I love the ocean, enjoy surfing, ocean kayaking, and have some of the best friends there.

I have however assimilated as best I can. My move here was just before the 3rd worst winter Denver has seen in the last 100 years. Let me tell you, I was really missing the warm weather and ocean during that storm. The snow finally melted and I bought a fly fishing rod and took a class. I really enjoy fishing, but I needed something with a little adrenaline in it. So a purchased a Jeep and some camping equipment then decided it was time to get into off-roading. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would enjoy this so much! It's not just the adrenaline rush of driving over large rocks and skimming along narrow roads with 100+ foot drop offs that thrills me. It's the fact that I can go where most people can't and don't. These places have some of the best views I have ever seen. When you are at 13,000+ feet elevation looking over 11,000+ feet mountain tops and valleys all formed by glaciers 1000's of years ago, I just can't put into words the feeling I get. In a word, it's spectacular.

Before my move to Denver, I had spent the last twelve years in sunny San Diego, CA. I was born in Albuquerque, NM and lived there until the age of five. My parents moved a few times which gave me the opportunity to live in Birmingham, MI, South Bend, IN, Evergreen, CO and La Jolla, CA. My parents moved to La Jolla, CA when I as in the 8th grade and I graduated from La Jolla High School in 1990.

My first year of college was at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. I transferred back to San Diego and spent my second year at MESA College. My parents had moved back to Colorado and I spent my last two years of College in Ft. Collins, CO at Colorado State University.

After that, I moved back to San Diego and started an Internet company called Global Investors Guide. It was later renamed to Ubrandit.com which went public on the American Stock Exchange. Those were some awesome times! That company has since then disappeared along with hundreds of other dot bombs.
